A Christ-centered resource for gay Latter-day Saints, rooted in faith, love, and the belief that every soul is known and cherished by God.
Dear Forrest was created out of love — a letter that became a book, and a book that became a healing program. It exists for those who have felt caught between their faith and their identity, offering a space where both can be held with grace.
We believe that being gay is not a sign of brokenness. We believe in the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ to heal, strengthen, and bring peace — not by changing who you are, but by helping you find wholeness exactly as God made you.
To provide a structured, faith-affirming pathway for gay Latter-day Saints and their families to find healing from shame, build authentic relationships, and deepen their connection with the Savior and His Gospel.
The Dear Forrest program includes a 12-session healing curriculum, a companion book, guided journal prompts, video resources, a professional directory, and community support for participants, facilitators, and family members alike.
